Conservatory Tuba

An original three-piston tuba for instrument scenes, animation projects and music-themed games. Lacquered brass, pearl touches, knurled caps and wrapped tubing give it a warm, detailed finish.

Four mechanical studies

Valve 1, Valve 2 and Valve 3 each run for two seconds. The six-second Valve sequence combines individual and coordinated presses. Each piston travels 24 mm and returns to rest while the casings and structural hardware remain fixed.

Open the Blender file, run the supplied playback helper, then choose a study in the Tuba sidebar and press Space. The GLB helper also supports Blender imports at 24 or 30 fps.

Materials

Seven materials include image-derived brass with clearcoat, nickel trim, pearl and felt. The Blender file retains packed color, roughness and tangent-normal maps. Brass normal and roughness sources are 16-bit; GLB uses an 8-bit combined metallic/roughness texture. Lighting and renderer support affect the finish.

Commercial use included

The included Conservatory Commercial Asset License 1.0 permits use and modification in unlimited personal and commercial finished projects, without attribution or per-project royalties. Standalone redistribution of the asset is restricted; see LICENSE.txt for the full terms.

This original, unbranded model uses AI-generated reference and texture inputs refined into its finish. The animations are silent visual mechanism demonstrations; no sound, MIDI runtime or performance fingering simulator is included.
